ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN

The Annual Fund Campaign is our primary philanthropic appeal and the first gift we ask of the OLH College Prep community. OLH College Prep is a not-for-profit organization and depends on annual tax-deductible contributions to enhance the experience of an OLH College Prep education. Annual fund dollars go to support all facets of the curriculum including academics, the arts, and athletics. In short, the Annual Fund is absolutely crucial to the school's ability to provide the highest quality education while keeping it affordable for as many families as possible.

Individuals, businesses, and foundations support the Annual Fund, with gifts ranging from $10 to over $10,000. These contributions are generally unrestricted – the purest form of philanthropy – strengthening all school programs and touching the lives of every student. Whether the support is used for curricular enhancements, faculty professional development, operating costs, sports team trips, production materials, or building upkeep, the Annual Fund's success is crucial in the daily life of the school.

Tuition alone does not cover the cost of an OLH College Prep education and your gift will ensure the school has what it needs to continue to thrive. The Annual Fund gifts are used for the immediate needs of the school for the fiscal year given. Meeting our yearly Annual Fund goal is exceedingly important.

Your contribution to the Annual Fund provides an opportunity for students to receive an OLH College Prep education. Each gift, no matter the size, has an impact and the collective generosity is what makes the Our Lady of the Hills College Prep experience possible.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

It is Our Lady of the Hills College Prep's desire to offer financial assistance to as many students as possible. Contributing to the Tuition Assistance Fund allows you to provide the opportunity of a lifetime to a student who would otherwise be unable to attend. The average award amount of $4,000 per student, per year and the maximum scholarship budget is limited to $225,000, approved by the Board of Directors.

CONSIDER A MONTHLY GIFT

It keeps us our teachers resource ready. Monthly donors ensure we can respond to classroom and school needs that directly impact a student’s educational experience, without being forced to fundraise first. For example, when our teachers were asked to go to virtual teaching, the technological and training needs were imminent and had to be addressed right away, something we couldn’t have prepared for in our annual budget.

It provides predictable revenue. Monthly giving helps OLH avoid peaks and valleys of revenue, ensuring we can spend more time on academic excellence, college preparedness, and the individualized needs of every student- and less on fundraising.

It sustains our mission. The Flock supports the everyday challenges of the school, allowing us to reach more students and support growth of the Hill Country as a whole. Joining the Flock demonstrates an ongoing commitment to our mission.

It’s also affordable! Making smaller monthly payments over time means less strain on your wallet.

Additionally, it allows you (or your company) to be seen in the community as an integral part of the work we do. Every donation is tax deductible.

ENDOWMENT

A strong endowment is vital to the future success of Our Lady of the Hills College Prep. We strive to offer an accessible Catholic education for as many students as possible, and as our community expands, so does our need for tuition assistance. Please help us grow our endowment to provide relief for our annual operating budget and increase financial aid funding.

Establishing an endowment is a wonderful way for alumni and members of our community to ensure that future Hawks can benefit from an education at OLH College Prep. Donors can establish an endowment fund alone, with classmates, as a family, or with friends. Endowments can also be named in tribute to a cherished teacher, classmate, or member of our Miner family. Your next class reunion would be a great time to talk to your fellow Hawks about building your legacy through a class endowment fund.

OLH is a nonprofit, private, preparatory high school, and in order to keep our tuition costs as low as possible, we rely on the generosity of our community to help provide financial aid options. Earnings from , the Annual Fund, Gala, Golf Classic, and our endowment help make up the difference between the actual cost of running OLH College Prep and the cost of tuition. Currently, around 40% of our Hawks benefit from tuition assistance and scholarships thanks to the support of these programs.
